Yahoo Releases Two iPhone Apps for Serach


Yahoo search finally has released an iPhone application to match. One of which is in competition with the likes of Yelp and Urbanspoon. The new application Yahoo search contains voice search, integration with Google Maps, stock quotes, movie reviews and a couple of other cool features based on Yahoo Search. basically it includes a lot of rich search elements available on Yahoo's web engine. The other application that they also released Sketch-aSearch which is an application that allows you to draw a shape on a Google map and bring up restaurants results within that area.

your boss may be watching you


Facebook, Gmail, Twitter... etc. Do not assume that you boss isn't watching you. According to the american management association more companies are electronically watching there employees or people are also getting fired for what they are doing at work. First companies are doing this because they want more productivity out of there workers. So they are trying to find out how much does there workers spend on other sites that are not work related. Second it has become real cheap and easy to install this software and the hardware devices to do the tracking, and last now you are seeing workers spilling confidential detail from inside there office, or bashing there bosses.

Samsung Slate PC coming later this year


It seems like lately many companies have been coming up with things such as the iPad which are becoming very popular. Well there is a new type of slate coming out soon by Samsung. The company said that the Slate PC will be faster and more powerful than the other tablets. Samsung's slate will have a docking station, so that it can be used as a primary device at home, and taken on the road as mobile PC.

Topeka 'renames' itself 'Google, Kansas'

Bill Bunten the mayor of Topeka, Kansas has apparently decided to rename the city "Google" for a whole month. Google declined to comment on whether it's taking the whole "Google. Kansas" thing seriously. The unusual movement is an attempts to get Google to invest in its broadband, and Google has announced a pilot program to speed up Internet access in the U.S. Topeka's mayor says the change will not be permanent.

Google adds bike routes to online maps

Cyclist has petitioned around to two years ago to make a change in the Google map, and as always Google will always improve or come up with new things. Now the Company contributed into Google map information about bike lanes which is available for 150 cities. The directions include short-cuts avoiding hills and traffic, highlight bike paths.

The iPad will be released on April3


Apples iPad is said to be released on April 3rd. Steve jobs describes the iPad as a 1.5 pound "magical and revolutionary" computer. It has a nearly 10-inch screen, runs existing apps from the Apple apps store and is available in 16-gigabyte, 32-gigabyte and 64-gigabyte versions. It's a half-inch thick and weighs a pound-and-a-half. The iPad is said to be released in other countries in late April.

Skype on TV


Now you can have Skype on your TV, which is pretty awesome because you could have that full screen to video chat with your friends. What they did is combined high-speed internet, television, Skype to create a videophone. Samsung says it will put VoLP calling service Skype as application on its television =)

Microsoft offers european users browser choice.

The European users have a chance to use a web browser other than itself offered by Microsoft. The agreement with European commission ends a long-running anti-trust dispute. Windows users will now be offered the choice of alternative non-Microsoft Web browser, and a choice screen offered as automatic download through Window Vista, Windows 7. As of today Microsoft users will be able to select an alternative browser from a pop- up menu.
