AT&T offers free Wi-Fi in New York City


The program that AT&T has launched is to see how Wi-Fi can help relieve wireless data congession. The program was launched on Tuesday, in New York's Times Square. Customers with Wi-Fi- enabled devices will connect to the Wi-Fi network instead of AT&T's 3G network to connect to the web. AT&T said if it goes well it may expand offering this to other cities.

Opera browser approved for iPhone


A new application from Web browser company Opera that has been just been approved promises faster surfing in the iPhone and iPod touch. The application is free and which Opera says it will cruise the Web up to six times faster than Apple's safari browser. Opera explains that the browser moves faster by compressing roughly 90 precent of data on Web page before rendering it. This application was already available on Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Palm and Android platforms.

IphoneOS4

The iPhoneOS4 is the next generation most advanced iPhone just yet. Apple has been working on it for a while, its going to be available this summer in stores. iPhoneOS4 delivers over fifteen hundred API's for developers in addition there is over a hundred user features, users can now create play-list on there phones, and Apple added a 5x digital zoom in the camera app. There are many new improvements with the new iPhoneOS4, and I guess we are going to have to wait to see.

Apple offers fixes for iPad Wi-Fi woes


Apple is offering some possible solutions for the complaints about the iPad's Wi-Fi connections. Some users complain that the new slate computer is dropping connection where other devices work fine. The company says it will make sure to fix this problem and make sure the software is up to date. The first models were Wi-Fi only, however now iPads will be sold with Wi-Fi and 3G connections.

Hp's 'slate' will have two cameras


The new Hp slate that has been just been released in stores this past Monday. The device has two video camera, a USB connection and also support for Flash animation. Which I personally think is AMAZING. The Hp slate is almost like the iPad in terms of medium-sized, touch screen that acts like an laptop without a key board, but some people say that the Hp slate is better than the iPad now because of the features in the slate device.

iPhone browsing could be faster with Opera


If Apple approves, maker of Web browser Opera will be Apple's iPhone store. The company says if Apple approves iPhone will have a browser up to six times faster than Safari, and today it's all about speed so Opera would make a huge contribution to the iPhone. Opera is currently available on Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Android platforms. If you are an active user base, than Opera is for you. Opera process involves running Web pages through their servers, stripping away all but the most essential data so the pages load quickly.

Yahoo Releases Two iPhone Apps for Serach


Yahoo search finally has released an iPhone application to match. One of which is in competition with the likes of Yelp and Urbanspoon. The new application Yahoo search contains voice search, integration with Google Maps, stock quotes, movie reviews and a couple of other cool features based on Yahoo Search. basically it includes a lot of rich search elements available on Yahoo's web engine. The other application that they also released Sketch-aSearch which is an application that allows you to draw a shape on a Google map and bring up restaurants results within that area.

Facebook, Gmail, Twitter... etc. Do not assume that you boss isn't watching you. According to the american management association more companies are electronically watching there employees or people are also getting fired for what they are doing at work. First companies are doing this because they want more productivity out of there workers. So they are trying to find out how much does there workers spend on other sites that are not work related. Second it has become real cheap and easy to install this software and the hardware devices to do the tracking, and last now you are seeing workers spilling confidential detail from inside there office, or bashing there bosses.

The company said that the Slate PC will be faster and more powerful than the other tablets. Samsung's slate will have a docking station, so that it can be used as a primary device at home, and taken on the road as mobile PC.

Topeka 'renames' itself 'Google, Kansas'

Bill Bunten the mayor of Topeka, Kansas has apparently decided to rename the city "Google" for a whole month. Google declined to comment on whether it's taking the whole "Google. Kansas" thing seriously. The unusual movement is an attempts to get Google to invest in its broadband, and Google has announced a pilot program to speed up Internet access in the U.S. Topeka's mayor says the change will not be permanent.

Cyclist has petitioned around to two years ago to make a change in the Google map, and as always Google will always improve or come up with new things. Now the Company contributed into Google map information about bike lanes which is available for 150 cities. The directions include short-cuts avoiding hills and traffic, highlight bike paths.

The iPad will be released on April3


Apples iPad is said to be released on April 3rd. Steve jobs describes the iPad as a 1.5 pound "magical and revolutionary" computer. It has a nearly 10-inch screen, runs existing apps from the Apple apps store and is available in 16-gigabyte, 32-gigabyte and 64-gigabyte versions. It's a half-inch thick and weighs a pound-and-a-half. The iPad is said to be released in other countries in late April.

Microsoft offers european users browser choice.

The European users have a chance to use a web browser other than itself offered by Microsoft. The agreement with European commission ends a long-running anti-trust dispute. Windows users will now be offered the choice of alternative non-Microsoft Web browser, and a choice screen offered as automatic download through Window Vista, Windows 7. As of today Microsoft users will be able to select an alternative browser from a pop- up menu.

AICE is an association of independent creative editors.The catagory for the AICE awards has expanded now the eligibility includes a new design catagory, which is open to anyone who is a digital artist and other professionals involved in design work for TV commercials, web videos, music videos. In addition to addign the design catagory they also its first ever general membership meeting.

17th Stuttgart International Festival of Animation Film


The Stuttgart festival of animation is one of the biggest and most important festival of the aimation worldwide. The prize for the festival includes over 50,000 euros prize money, in which is awarded in seven competition catagorie, four films will be nominated in ever catagory. It invites international advertising agencies, filmmakers, and production companies to submit their films.

DreamWorks Animation Profits Drops


DreamWorks ainmation SKG has released a press release announcing financial results for its fourth quarter and full ended year. The company has reported a total revenue of $725.2million and a net income of $151million. This compares to a total revenue of $650.1 million and a net income of $142.5 million or $1.57 per share.The company's full year 2010 results are expected to be driven primarly by the performance of How to train your Dragon, which is schedual to be released on March 26, 2010 and Shrek Forever After, which is schedual to be released on May 21, 2010.

WB animator dies


Rudy larriva animator and dierector passed away at age 94. Throughout his long career he worked for Warner Brothers, UPA format films, Filmation and Disney. Some of Larriva's animation credits included Looney Toons, Song Of The South, Popeye The Sailor, Mcboing, and Mr. Magoo. He also directed shows such as Alvin and the Chipmunks and Mistert. His animation will truely be missed.

Now there is a new set of earrings which are earphones too, it's pretty amazing. It looks very fashionable, and most people may see it as earrings or very fashionable earphones. There is also a matching lap top you can get with it, with the same type of design of butterflies. You can get some of the products on eBay until they come out in stores. Plus Ralph Lauren is doing an iPhone application which you can put your face onto Ralph Lauren models so you can get a sense of what the clothing you are buying would look like on you.

Skype is an awesome way to communicate FREE, and now it is a free mobile application. Verizon smartphone users can make and receive unlimited free calls to other users who have Skype.They can also use it to call any international phone number at Skype's standard rates, which are much lower than Verizon's international wireless calling rates. I use Skype all the time, and to have Skype now on mobile, it just makes things much easier.

SlingPlayer video app goes 3G on iPhone


Sling Player is a new application for the iphone and ipod touch it just came out this past Monday. The app can now stream video over AT&T's 3G network; previously streaming was only possible on Wi-Fi connections, which makes this application even cooler. The 3G version was just approved by Apple, so you will find it in the Apple store. The application cost $29.99, which is kinda expensive for an iphone application.

Toby Maguire will not be in Spider-Man 4


Spider-Man 4 is not going to happen just yet, Sony has announced that Sam Raimi and Toby Maguire are cast out of Spider Man 4, there is going to be a new director and cast members in the summer of 2012. Along with a new story line that focuses on Peter Parker as a teen. This became a problem when Sony became unhappy with Raimi's choice of the vulture as the villain. There is no word on who is going to be replacing Toby Maguire or Sam Raimi just yet.
