AT&T offers free Wi-Fi in New York City

The program that AT&T has launched is to see how Wi-Fi can help relieve wireless data congession. The program was launched on Tuesday, in New York's Times Square. Customers with Wi-Fi- enabled devices will connect to the Wi-Fi network instead of AT&T's 3G network to connect to the web. AT&T said if it goes well it may expand offering this to other cities.
