AT&T offers free Wi-Fi in New York City


The program that AT&T has launched is to see how Wi-Fi can help relieve wireless data congession. The program was launched on Tuesday, in New York's Times Square. Customers with Wi-Fi- enabled devices will connect to the Wi-Fi network instead of AT&T's 3G network to connect to the web. AT&T said if it goes well it may expand offering this to other cities.

Opera browser approved for iPhone


A new application from Web browser company Opera that has been just been approved promises faster surfing in the iPhone and iPod touch. The application is free and which Opera says it will cruise the Web up to six times faster than Apple's safari browser. Opera explains that the browser moves faster by compressing roughly 90 precent of data on Web page before rendering it. This application was already available on Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Palm and Android platforms.

IphoneOS4

The iPhoneOS4 is the next generation most advanced iPhone just yet. Apple has been working on it for a while, its going to be available this summer in stores. iPhoneOS4 delivers over fifteen hundred API's for developers in addition there is over a hundred user features, users can now create play-list on there phones, and Apple added a 5x digital zoom in the camera app. There are many new improvements with the new iPhoneOS4, and I guess we are going to have to wait to see.

Apple offers fixes for iPad Wi-Fi woes


Apple is offering some possible solutions for the complaints about the iPad's Wi-Fi connections. Some users complain that the new slate computer is dropping connection where other devices work fine. The company says it will make sure to fix this problem and make sure the software is up to date. The first models were Wi-Fi only, however now iPads will be sold with Wi-Fi and 3G connections.

Hp's 'slate' will have two cameras


The new Hp slate that has been just been released in stores this past Monday. The device has two video camera, a USB connection and also support for Flash animation. Which I personally think is AMAZING. The Hp slate is almost like the iPad in terms of medium-sized, touch screen that acts like an laptop without a key board, but some people say that the Hp slate is better than the iPad now because of the features in the slate device.

iPhone browsing could be faster with Opera


If Apple approves, maker of Web browser Opera will be Apple's iPhone store. The company says if Apple approves iPhone will have a browser up to six times faster than Safari, and today it's all about speed so Opera would make a huge contribution to the iPhone. Opera is currently available on Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Android platforms. If you are an active user base, than Opera is for you. Opera process involves running Web pages through their servers, stripping away all but the most essential data so the pages load quickly.

Yahoo Releases Two iPhone Apps for Serach


Yahoo search finally has released an iPhone application to match. One of which is in competition with the likes of Yelp and Urbanspoon. The new application Yahoo search contains voice search, integration with Google Maps, stock quotes, movie reviews and a couple of other cool features based on Yahoo Search. basically it includes a lot of rich search elements available on Yahoo's web engine. The other application that they also released Sketch-aSearch which is an application that allows you to draw a shape on a Google map and bring up restaurants results within that area.
